Mindfulness Coaching

No matter the path you choose towards your mindfulness journey, I am here to guide you on a transformative journey towards greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and inner peace. Through personalized mindfulness coaching, you will learn how to integrate mindfulness practices into your daily life, helping you to manage stress, enhance your focus, and cultivate a deeper sense of well-being. Whether you are new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice, my coaching services are designed to support your unique needs and goals, empowering you to live a more intentional and fulfilling life.

What to expect during Coaching:

When we work together for mindfulness coaching or consulting, our work will not be therapy and I will not conduct diagnostic assessments, provide clinical diagnoses, or create treatment plans.

Instead I will…

Listen deeply to your goals for developing a mindfulness practice.

Support you in growing and sustaining a practice that fosters self-compassion and ease in your life.

Provide you with the resources to integrate mindfulness into your everyday activities.

During our coaching meetings, we will:

We will begin with setting an intention for the meeting, discuss insights gathered since our last meeting, address any challenges, and then dedicate practice time to support mindfulness development.

Discuss your concerns and how mindfulness practices can support you.

Provide instruction, guidance, and support to learn and practice mindfulness.

Explore ways to bring mindfulness into your daily life.

Offer support as you share your experiences and observations.

Discuss readings and resources to deepen your practice.

Key Differences between Counseling/Therapy and Coaching/Consulting:

Counseling/Therapy:

Conducted by a licensed mental health professional and focuses on diagnosing and addressing psychological concerns through a clinical process.

Involves a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to identify specific mental health issues and develops a treatment plan based on the client's detailed personal history, including developmental, social, medical, family, educational, vocational, and psychiatric aspects.

Utilizes specific therapeutic theories and techniques to treat mental health concerns and achieve treatment goals.

Coaching:

We will discuss your concerns or needs and how mindfulness practices can support you during this time. It is important to know that this is NOT therapy work. I will NOT conduct a diagnostic assessment, provide a mental health diagnosis, or create a treatment plan. Mindfulness coaching relies on mindfulness practices, including mindful inquiry, awareness of body and sensations, and exploring what is important to you.

In our meetings, you will:

Receive instruction, guidance, and support to learn and practice mindfulness practices

Introduce or deepen your understanding of mindfulness and how to bring mindfulness practices into everyday life

Opportunities for support with home practice (readings, worksheets, resources) in everyday life

Receive support as you report and share what you experience and observe in your practice

Discuss readings that will help you deepen your practice

Consulting:

We will discuss your goals based on needs, desires, and observations of your team. As we review the situation, I will listen closely to the solutions you have tried and previous successes and offer specific and tangible ideas embedded in mindfulness practices to help your team meet outcomes.

During our consultation you will:

Be given opportunities for support with home practice (readings, worksheets, resources) in everyday life,

Receive support as you report and share what you experienced / observed and then discuss ways to deepen your practice.

Note:

As a licensed Psychologist, my role shifts when providing mindfulness coaching or consulting. Our sessions will focus on developing your mindfulness skills rather than therapeutic intervention. I will listen attentively to your goals, support your growth in mindfulness, and provide the necessary resources to help you integrate these practices into your everyday life, without engaging in the clinical aspects typical of therapy.
